7 Lies The Media Likes To Tell About The New Software

By Adam Ronnie

I've been working in the CAD industry for Twenty-eight years now and needed to learn LT 2012 fast for a buyer job. I was happy to find that they have a Soft Tutor tutorial for LT 2012 on Amazon.com. Teacher Inside of AutoCAD LT (for version 2012) I use soft tutor products to quickly get to cruising speed on fresh products. Depending on my customer's needs, I switch forwards and backwards between different cad systems. I really prefer the more recent versions of Autodesk over others that I use.

LT is the lighter version of Autodesk Auto CAD 2012. Learn more about Autocad LT 2012 .The major difference is that it doesn't make allowances for 3D modelling. If you just need 2D modelling capacity, it is a really reasonable alternative choice to the much costlier full version of Auto CAD 2012. I've used both AutoCAD 2012 and version 2011, and in general, they're a very effective way to add some power to your drafting, especially when you combine it with a lower-cost 3D modelling solution, of which there are several. I don't have to do much 3D design any longer, but when I do, I use Corel CAD.

Install was pretty simple and though I have prior experience with AutoCAD, the layout is easy enough where first-timers can jump right in fairly quickly with minimum experience. I did experience some crashing and locking up however. I can't even start to describe how maddening this is. I installed it separately on 2 different workstations and both had the same issues. It didn't happen enough for me to modify my rating on the product, but it still is rather irritating.

There are not too many visual differences between it and AutoCAD 2011. I hate the Dashboard ribbon, but luckily it is possible to get around this by choosing Autodesk Classic Workspace. I discover things also run much more smoothly by turning off Auto complete and Dynamic Input. There is a lot of room for customization within the program and you can set things up just about any way that is most convenient to you.

I started out doing some easy designs of my office's information flow, and drafted some plans of our office structure. Doing an n info flow diagram, I tend to use the copy function a lot. AutoCAD 2012 has a lot more features and copy options now that made this much easier to accomplish, including clean-up tools like the facility to merge duplicate objects and removed nested objects that share similar geometry, which it will recognize as pointless.

Some of my diagrams can get reasonably complicated and squashed together, so this is definitely a bonus and made things less complicated. I will be able to upload a copy of the diagram I was able to complete in the customer pictures section.

Overall, I think that AutoCAD may be following in Adobe's steps and beginning to create "bloat ware" by attempting to add too many features and visible aspects, like pointless toolbars to their products, so I hope it doesn't continue with Autodesk 2013. But if you're looking for a budget 2D drafting option and still desire the choice to exchange formats with those utilising the full CAD software, AutoCAD 2012 is the most obvious way to go.
